About
Hi, my name is Pete Sonntag. I’m an Architect based in Felpham on the South coast of England near the sunny sea-side resort of Bognor Regis. I work by myself from my garden office and have three kids with my amazing wife.
I’ve been working in the construction industry since I left school in 1994. After leaving school I trained as a plasterer and general labourer. After four years I realised I was really interested in the design side of things, so I enrolled at Brighton University and finally qualified as an Architect in 2009.
Over the years I have worked for a number of practices and I’ve had the opportunity to work on numerous projects ranging from listed buildings renovations to one-off bespoke houses and all in between.
Every design solution is individual and completely dependent on the site constraints and client brief. I design buildings or extensions that work in sympathy with the existing building and the surrounding landscape. Sometimes it might be appropriate to design a ‘Georgian style’ house and other times a beautiful glazed extension or simply redesign an internal layout.
Just like the master builders of the past whose pre 1900 buildings can be seen in all of our cities; I try to use materials that are timeless and require little or no maintenance.
I believe it’s really important to connect to potential clients, listen to their desires and then it’s my job to translate this into a reality.
If you’d like to chat to me and discuss your potential project please feel free to contact me by phone or email. I also offer a free initial consultation where we can meet and discuss your ideas in more detail.
I look forward to hearing from you soon.
